Okay this is not a significant kind of blog… look at it more like a fussy one. I have yet to find a place as dreadfully hot as the valley besides hell itself. As though it wasn’t hot enough outside… my house is hot… my office is hot… the church is hot…. HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!! Not that I’m going through menopause or anything is just stinking hot!!
It makes no sense… I went to the beach the other day and the water was freezing cold. NO SENSE!!! However being out there for 30 minutes I got sunburned. Geeeezzzz…. there is no way of getting around it down here. Hot air, 100% humidity, & the scorching sun….. hotness!!!!!!!!!
Ugh… I’m moving to Alaska ;p

Where do you find yourself at this point in time? Are you the woman at the well about to drink from the living water? Are you Moses at the Red Sea believing and having faith that the waters will part? Are you Hannah crying out for a Samuel to be birth in you? What crossroad are you in right now? How far away are you from your moment, your salvation or your miracle?
I recall the story of Jonah and how choices are so important. One simple disobedient act cost him being eaten by a huge fish. He was at a crossroad. A crossroad that demanded for him to take a risk and step towards something he was not familiar with. He was challenged to act on faith and believe that God’s purpose and faithful plan was especially designated just for him.
The woman at the well never anticipated to meet Jesus on her basic daily water run. She had no clue that this would be her moment to be completely transformed. Even the great leader Moses, I’m sure deep inside he had to replace fear with faith and believe that God’s supernatural hand would move in the instant they needed his salvation. Or even Hannah, empty and barren, with just the hope… the hope that God would grant her a son.
I’m at a time in my life where all three of these things are so important. I need to make sure that my spirit (wo)man is quenched, my faith helps me overcome hard tribulations and that I can cry to God to fill any emptiness or voids. It is so important to keep yourself accountable. We demand and depend on our pastors to fill us with word but what are we doing to keep ourselves charged and refreshed. When you’re at a crossing be prepared to lift up your staff and believe that God will sustain you.

OK so I have this concept that I’m entitled to a “birthday month” instead of “birthday“. Now, I hope you agree with me here but I believe your birthday should be celebrated ALL MONTH LONG!! Why only a day, you know? For the past three years or so its been that way. Call me spoiled but its true! To think it was planned so well… lets see….
- February: Valentines Month
- March: Birthday Month
- April: 1st Year Anniversary Month… so next year will be 2nd & so forth
- Then later once we add to our little family, we’ll have a Mommy Month in May!!
I tell you this took intense, strategic, & genius planning…. I love it!! My husband doesn’t think its a bright idea but that’s okay he’ll learn to love it, lol.
BRING ON THE PRESENTS!!!!!!!!! IF you think that’s bad… here’s my birthday wish list:
- Pink Laptop
- IPhone
- Audi (Car)
- Visa Gift Cards… so I can shop everywhere
- Cordless Microphone
- finally… the complete 2nd, 3rd, & 4th season & however many else there are of Garfield & Friends… I love that lazy cat:)
I’ll have to update you on what I get:) Tootles.

Good Morning Baltimore!
I’ve been so busy this past week, I haven’t had a chance to blog. Which, btw, I have some exciting news about a new addition to my family and can’t wait to post pictures…. but that’s for later.
However, last Saturday night, as an early birthday present, my brother and best friend took me to go see the musical Hairspray. It was so great!!! I’ve attended other local musicals and have even participated in community musicals but none could compare to this. The performances were fantastic and the music was just phenomenal. I could just imagine how the Broadway shows are in New York (BIG WISH OF MINE). But another big wish is how much I would love to perform on Broadway:) I love being a pastor but the little girl inside me wants to dance, sing, & perform. I can hear it now… LIVE ALL THE WAY FROM H-TOWN… STARRING REBECCA GOMEZ IN HAIRSPRAY!!!!! And the applause goes wild as I break out in song with a puffy costume and overloaded make-up. Oh my lucky stars, I wish, I wish, I wish:)

I’m so excited that “The Oscars”are tomorrow night:) I don’t know why but I get such a thrill of seeing all the performances. I don’t know if its the dancing or the sparkling lights or all the glitzy gowns and hair-do’s. I just love it:)
However, on another happy note I’m going to miss the beginning of it because 12 of our brave students are getting baptized tomorrow:) Yay for them!!! Looks like a fun day for me tomorrow… can’t wait!!

The truth is- is that I’ve become addicted to searching for great worship songs. Now don’t get me wrong… worship is worship. Its just that leading worship for youth is so different than leading worship for adults. When I was a teen in youth service we sang everything the adults did and it seemed okay. Now-a-days music is different and has a different sound. Tonight I’ve been doing some online searching for some new worship songs and have not found anything to my likings. I don’t know if I’m just being “picky” or is my spirit “discerning” what will be effective for our teens.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if new songs were not written and worship went back to hymnals. Again… don’t get me wrong I love hymnals for you traditional folk but there’s so much more out there. Being transparent here… I’ve been wanting to write my own songs. You know, being a psalmist like Mr. D in the great book of Psalms but idk I just can’t seem to launch it. Any suggestions? I think if I really applied myself more and bought myself one of those little voice recorder thing-a-ma-gigies it would help. Here are a few worship songs I’ve found that minister to me and some have been a hit in our youth services. However, if you haven’t heard these songs yet, I highly recommend you do.. enjoy!!
- Worshiping You by Deluge (Jonathan Stockstill)
- Pleasing to You, Here In Your Presence, & Overcome by Desperation Band
- Universe Bows by VMusic
- How He Loves Us by Kim Walker
- Desert Song, Came to My Rescue, Mighty to Save, & Savior King by Hillsong
- Wrap Me In Your Arms by Martha Munizzi
- Your Love Is Like, Alabaster Jar, & When I’m With You by Christ for the Nations

I am so excited to announce that tonight I am making my 1st Thanksgiving Ham! I have so crossed over from being just a girl to a pastor’s wife who makes really delicious food! I can just hope that my ham will be the life of the party at tomorrow’s church potluck. Just imagine it… church members in line… holding on to their holiday decorated plates… getting ready to eat the most delicious entree ever.
