What a week!! As it turns out I got sick all over again :/ Well it I found out that this “bug” going around has a certain technique to its attack. First, for about two or three days, you get sniffles and fever then, right after, you get better for another three or four days. Right when you think you are in the clear… it hits you like a freight train. I’m talking about everything from high fever to mocos (I know, tmi), lol. I so wish someone would have warned me about this. Anybody!! Needless to say, I’m feeling so much better and I all I have to deal with is just an annoying cough. Well being sick and all, we had an awesome pastors & leaders conference. It was such a blessing! Our very own, Pastor Jaime Loya,  gave an awesome word and my life was truly transformed and blessed. Anyhow, during the time I was at home resting, I had time to surf the web and check out some SNL (Saturday Night Live) videos. If you are a Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig fan, you will love this. I must have watched it 20 some odd times and laughed so much. I couldn’t keep it to myself, so I’m sharing with you. glass house

My life in ministry has really altered my personal lifestyle.  I believe I live in a glass house or like my sister says “we live in a glass fish bowl”. I bet your thinking… how can you live that way? Its very simple! Everything we do is seen…. we live by example. Therefore, something I’ve learned about living this way is always being careful of who you invite into your home.  Watch out for these kind of people:

  • the ones that will point out your flaws instead of bless you
  • people who criticize instead of uplift you
  • invade your privacy just to gossip about you
  • & most importantly… smoochers (ppl who are there to get and give nothing in return).

I strive for my home to be a place of tranquility. One comment I almost always get when I have company in my home is how inviting and cozy it is… not to mention also always clean. My prayer is that when people see this it would be a reflection of God in my life.

For example:

  • being a blessing to everyone I come across
  • encouraging and uplifting
  • repectful and not a gossiper
  • & most importantly… have a heart that gives without wanting something in return.

The Word of God says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and not our own (I Cor. 6:19).  When you live for God and live according to his rules… you become unseen. People no longer see you but they now see Him. I’m so glad I made a choice to live with Jesus. He has been the rock of my foundation:)   Gone are they days when I wanted to be like everyone else… just ordinary.
