Wow, our summer is finally considered over!! Students return to school in a couple days and we ended with an exciting back to school block party. It has been so hard to blog these past couple of months because of my schedule… lets review: Refuel, Chix Lock-in, Transformed Student Conference, Fuelympics, Prep-time for school, Wednesday night worship, became BICC Youth Pastors, 3G Youth Conference and etc. Of course I didn’t include practices, meetings and our non-profit functions. However with great rewards, I’ve been given an opportunity to lead worship at an all girls youth conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma next spring. Anyhow, with joy in my heart, I’m happy to say that we survived the summer and are ready for our vacation :I

This will be our first official vacation as a couple. We’ll be going to Chicago, IL for about six days. What are we going to do… You ask!! Well lets see. We’ll be going to a pre-season Chicago Bears game -vrs- NY Giants @ Soldier Field, can’t forget the Wrigley Field (baseball… even though we’re Redsox fans… gotta support the sport), Museum of Science and Industry, Sears tower, Navy Pier, all the fabulous restaurants which include our favorite “Cheesecake Factory” ( I can eat there all day), visit Oprah *lol… well maybe, Field Museum, try a Chicago-style hotdog and so much more. I’m really excited for my hubby it will be his first time there. I know we’re going to have a great time
As soon as we return, we’ll be celebrating my Daddy’s 50th anniversary in ministry w/ an honorary doctored degree, my mom & hubby’s birthday, then I go to school that next Monday! Praise God for his strength that helps me endure through everything!! Well I’m off… ttyl

Tomorrow my husband and I, along with another pastor couple, will be flying out to a conference in Dallas, Texas. I’m so excited, I love to travel!! I’m looking forward to getting refreshed with new ideas:) I can’t wait to share all the great things God has been doing! I haven’t had a chance to blog but as soon as I arrive I really want to share my heart with everyone. Take care:)

OK so I have this concept that I’m entitled to a “birthday month” instead of “birthday“. Now, I hope you agree with me here but I believe your birthday should be celebrated ALL MONTH LONG!! Why only a day, you know? For the past three years or so its been that way. Call me spoiled but its true! To think it was planned so well… lets see….
- February: Valentines Month
- March: Birthday Month
- April: 1st Year Anniversary Month… so next year will be 2nd & so forth
- Then later once we add to our little family, we’ll have a Mommy Month in May!!
I tell you this took intense, strategic, & genius planning…. I love it!! My husband doesn’t think its a bright idea but that’s okay he’ll learn to love it, lol.
BRING ON THE PRESENTS!!!!!!!!! IF you think that’s bad… here’s my birthday wish list:
- Pink Laptop
- IPhone
- Audi (Car)
- Visa Gift Cards… so I can shop everywhere
- Cordless Microphone
- finally… the complete 2nd, 3rd, & 4th season & however many else there are of Garfield & Friends… I love that lazy cat:)
I’ll have to update you on what I get:) Tootles.

These past two weeks have been so crazy for me. Last Tuesday I woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible toothache. The entire left side of my face was hurting super bad. I felt terrible for keeping my husband awake and have him endure my whining… he was a good sport though. Well to make a long story short, I had to put up with the infection and take lots of medicine and today I finally went and got a root canal. I am happy to say that the procedure was successful and in 20 minutes I was back to myself again:)
Through this whole process I’ve had to continue singing and leading worship. I’m sure you can just imagine how my face was ready to fall off at any moment but thankfully I pulled through quite well. We introduced a new song called “Pleasing to You” by Desperation Band. If you have not heard this song yet then stop what your doing and go listen to it. We had such a great worship experience on Wednesday. In fact, I’ve been singing it since then. Trust me… you’re gonna love it:)
In the spirit of Valentines, when I got home this morning from my procedure, my husband had a beautiful display of gifts for me. He gave me all sorts of adorable stuff like a card, balloons, flowers, chocolates, cute heart jammies, & the whole works. I’m so thankful and honored to know that I have someone who not only loves me but puts up with my crazy two weeks worth of tooth pain. Although this has been a tough two weeks… having Jesus and him by my side have been so worth it.

This weekend I went to my first kite-fest at South Padre Island with my handsome hubby. The day was beautiful and the water was so clear and blue. What is a kite-fest, you ask? Well I didn’ t know what it was about either but it’s really cool and simple. Well, all these professional kite flyer’s come from all over the US and put on all these cool performances . They use different kites in all sorts of shapes, colors & sizes. Okay so I didn’t know that you could be a “professional kite flyer person” but I guess so. The huge red kite you see in the pic was a huge octopus. It was really a sight to see… I’m looking forward to next year!

Heart Cloud
On Sunday afternoon as Abram and I were driving home we were listening to Try a Little Tenderness… Of course being the wonderful romantic my husband is… he was singing this sweet song to me with all his heart. I couldn’t help but fall in love with him all over again… I glanced up to the sky when to my surprise I saw this amazing heart-shaped cloud… It was so enchanting that I immediately took a pic, send it to almost all my loved ones to share the moment & I just had to share it with you
As quick as time passes you by… its so wonderful to see the beauty in the things God has created just for us. Seeing the little things in life especially in the people you love are and will always remain priceless:)
